Credible and Appropriate Sources

***For the purposes of this blog, please assume the roles of  students in my 12th grade history class.  This blog is where I would post homework assignments and general announcements***

Later in the semester you will all be expected to research and write a paper about one of the topics discussed in class.  Since this is the second week of school I do not expect you to have chosen topics yet. Right now I am interested to learn how much you know about  conducting research on the Internet.

We will have a detailed discussion on Thursday but for now I want you to find at least one website or page that you think is an appropriate source for a research paper (an academic source).

Please provide a link to your source as well as a brief explanation as to why you think it qualifies.

Please post your findings here.  I do NOT want to see duplicate sites or information.  The Internet is a big place- there is more than enough variety for each of you to find a unique site or page.

These sources do not need to be directly related to your yet-to-be-chosen topic, but please keep them relevant to Social Studies (which covers a lot more than just History).

If you really want to impress me, you could also include a bibliographic citation of the source.
-We will also be discussing correct citation practices later this week.
